An excellent weekend at the club, as all three sides in action all won. The first team secured their first league win of the season with an entertaining 3-4 win over Corinthian Casuals on Saturday.
Whilst the first team were on their travels the u21’s continued their fantastic start to the season with a two nil victory over Epsom & Ewell, the result means they are the only team in their league with a one hundred percent start to the season, well done lads.
Sunday was the start of the County Youth League and our County u18’s made an impressive start with a 2-3 win away to last years league champions Mile Oak.
Just to say a big well done to the grounds staff for a fantastic pitch for the start of the season (pictured below), well done guys superb!

An excellent game of football was witnesed by just under 0ne hundred people last night as Whitehawk’s first ever Ryman Youth game took place at ’The Enclosed Ground’. Last years Ryman Youth South champions Lewes were the visitors. Both sides started well with Lewes edging posession, but it was ‘The Hawks’ that struck first with an excellent strike from Alain Multini (left) in the sixth minute beating the Lewes keeper with a looping 25 yard effort into the top corner… Both sides created opportunities but went into the break 1-0 to Whitehawk.
Lewes started the second half well, with some excellent movement across the park and were rewarded for their efforts after a communication mix up in the Hawks back four and keeper. With their tails up Lewes continued to press and struck again with a second goal from yet another poor defensive mix up.
In fairess it would have been an injustice to ‘The Hawks’ if they ended up on the wrong side of a 1-2 defeat as they had fully desreved a result and played more than their part in an excellent game.
The game became a fascinating encounter for the last fifteen minutes as ’The Hawks’ pressed Lewes looking for the equaliser and Lewes continuing to hit them on the break with good counter attack play. Hawks were finally rewarded for their efforts on seventy nine minutes when they were awarded a free kick just outside the Lewes penalty area. Kieran Pamment (below) stepped up and beat the Lewes keeper at his near post.
Both sides continued to press for the winner, but for some fine goalkeeping the final result remained hounours even Whitehawk Youth 2-2 Lewes Youth. Congratulations to both sets of players for an enjoyable oppening game of the season.
