Good weekend at the club….

An excellent weekend at the club, as all three sides in action all won. The first team secured their first league win of the season with an entertaining 3-4 win over Corinthian Casuals on Saturday.

Whilst the first team were on their travels the u21’s continued their fantastic start to the season with a two nil victory over Epsom & Ewell, the result means they are the only team in their league with a one hundred percent start to the season, well done lads.

Sunday was the start of the County Youth League and our County u18’s made an impressive start with a 2-3 win away to last years league champions Mile Oak.

Just to say a big well done to the grounds staff for a fantastic pitch for the start of the season (pictured below), well done guys superb!

Another win for u21’s…

The u21’s kept their good start to the season on track with a 5-2 victory away to Horley last night. The team raced into a three nil start in the first half with the first goal coming after only three minutes!

The second half was a much more even affair with Horley showing great spirit as our boys took their foot of the gas. Even with a below par performance in the second half we created enough chances to have been in double figures with better finishing.

The win sees us re-take top spot with a one hundred percent start to the season. Next game Epsom & Ewell at homethis Saturday 3pm ko.

Kieran said “We are relatively pleased with the start of the season and in phases the team had played some nice football…when we get thge ball down we are a good side and will be a match for anyone. We will not be reading to much into Horley’s recent results as there have been changes at their club and there will be reasons why they have shipped the amount of goals they have. Hartley Wintney 2 v 2 Whitehawk – FA Cup Prel Rd – Sat 28th Aug 2010
